Smart Mailboxes not working with Exchange folders?
MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion
MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion
Same problem here.
any luck in solving this?
I also have this problem.
I asked one of my collegues to check if he also has the problem, he has the impression it works for him.
The difference is he did a clean install, I upgraded from Lion.
I called AppleCare and told about this. Hope they will forward this to the correct team and it gets fixed...
Same issue here, I did an upgrade from Lion.
This is on an Exchange account. It used to make problems before, where it at some point (I suppose it was server endpoint changes) suddenly forgot the mailbox(es) configured in the smart mailbox, and I had to configure them all over again. But then it at least applied them and it worked for a while.
It's really annoying, as a lot of my mail folder organization relies on those smart mailboxes...
I have exactly the same problem. I upgrade from 10.7 where it works well but now, in 10.8 it doesn't. And it only happens with folders located in an Exchange account.
For the moment, I've changed the folder from Exchange to my iCloud account, and it works fine, but I don't like this solution.
I hope there's a solution for this.
Same problem here.
I have several Smart Mailboxes displaying the emails from a subfolder of my exchange account using the Message is in Mailbox filter. With Mountain Lion Mail they appear sorely empty. Moreover, if opening the settings, the filter points to 'no Mailbox' even if I just set it.
The same Smart Mailboxes are working fine if applied to the subfolder of an imap account, for instance.
Did anyone ever find a solution for this? I'm growing tired of seeing all of my junk mail in my unread mail. The smart mailbox marked as "not in junk folder" is showing me my thousands of messages in my junk folder that are unread. I delete them, but the new ones still show up.
Very frustrating when something worked before, but doesn't now and their isn't a way to go back.
I just installed the 10.8.1 update ... but the problem is still there ...
so have you managed to solve the issue by recreating the Exchange account?
I tried this, but it did not help...
I also installed the 10.8.1 update, sadly the problem still exists...
I hope they will fix it in the next update and we don't have to wait too long.
me neither ...
Same problem here. I did note that if I choose one of the the reserved mailboxes liek inbox or sent in Exchange that works fien but any other mailbox in my Exchange accoutn does not. Perhaps it is becuase these mailboxes can be shared across accounts.
I am having the same problem using smart mailboxes with MSFT 365 Exchange. The smart mailbox setup will not retain my exchange folder selection and defaults back to "no mailbox selected." It was, however working for about 2 months until I did the 10.8.1 update on Friday. Now Monday morning the smart mailboxes do not work.
Hello,
with the last upgrade of OSX (10.8.1) I moved the folder which is in the rule for smart mailbox to the icloud instead of the exchange account and it works.
I know, it's not the best solution, but for the moment works.
