Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
When I open iWeb, I get the following error message:
"There was a problem connecting to the server "idisk.mac.com". Contact your system administrator for more information."
Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?
I had the same error message in iPhoto, but that is now gone with the upgrade of Mountain Lion.

Do, you possibly have something that was linked to an item on your iDisk?
Open the publishing settings page and change the destination to your new server....

If you haven't replaced MobileMe with a new hosting service there are some hints on choosing one here...
I don't know. Is there a way to determine that? I have looked everywhere within iWeb, and I nothing jumps out at me.
If you were using MobileMe to host your website you can continue to use iWeb but, will need a 3rd party web host to upload your websites to. Depending on the version of iWeb you are using you have a couple of publishing options:
iWeb '09 (3.0.4) you can publish to an FTP Server or a local folder. ( With the built in FTP in iWeb you will end up with an address like "www.YourDomain.com/sitename/Home.html )
iWeb '08 you can publish your website to a local folder
Publish to a local folder is located in the file menu I do believe.

By any chance did you have any movies or documents "like a PDF or word document" linked on your website?
Is the site "live" on the internet now?
I continue to have the same error message. I did not have a web site but I did use mobile me. What should I look for that might be still searching for Mobile Me
And I still have issues, as well. I discovered that I get the error message with iMovie, in addition to iWeb, and even went as far as purchasing the newest version in hopes of eliminating the message that way. Sorry to say, it accomplished nothing. I really wish Apple would figure out what is causing this, and offer us a fix.
Jeff, as far as I know, I do not have any documents or PDF linked to my site. The only thing I have are pictures and a audio file that is linked through iTunes.
I know this might sound obvious but have you ejected your iDisk?
Yes. It doesn't appear in the sidebar any longer. MobileMe is gone, too. I am running Mountain Lion, latest version.
Are you logged in to iCloud?
That should have automatically logged you out of MobileMe.

This error is usually caused by a file with an incorrect file name. Rage web hosting has a video tutorial addressing this issue to illustrate:
I haven't had any problem publishing my website. The error message occurs simply when iWeb or IMovie are launched. Unfortunately, this is not my problem (and besides, I don't want to move my site to another host.)

Deleting the .plist should get rid of the message in iWeb.
