Mountain on late 2008 MacBook Pro

Has anyone any experience of installing Mountain Lion on a late 2008 MacBook Pro with 4GB of ram (maximum possible on this model)?

The official list says that it will install but I am interested to know how well it performs on such a model. Is 4GB sufficient memory? Does it perform well? or sluggishly?

Any thoughts would be welcome.

I forgot to emphasize that changing to the Hybrid Hard Drive(momentus xt) coupled with the 8GB is what made it runninglike a dream.

I had ML with 8GB but w/ stock HD and that was OK too but with the new Hard drive, it just flies. Specially after a couple of restarts.

If you do decide to change to faster hard drives (72000 RPM). Look into the Seagate Momentus XT (hybrid). pretty cheap compared to SSD's and with a big capacity(750GB). Just make sue to get the new generations. The older ones tend to be suspect.

Good luck on the Reinstall. Keep us posted.
