setting up a new iphone and i dont know how to get my contacts from my sim to the iphone does anyone have any suggestions please?

On the iPhone go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Contacts > Import SIM Contacts.

Won't work for me..

It comes up a filed tjat says that it is importing cintacts, it works for a while then it locks when i lock it up i come to the start screen but there is no contacts to be found..

Previous phone samsung and the contacts are saved on the sim
