Battery life shortened with OS X Mountain Lion

I have the same problem - and all of the suggestions: what's hogging CPU resources, Spotlight, SMC Reset - do not help. I hope Apple comes up with a fix for this pretty quick.

I have a Macbook Air end 2008 and I am experimenting the same issues. The battery capacity felt from 89% to 73% in one week (mesured with CoconutBattery). I think in a week more I shall be around 50%. Can we reverse this? Which are Apple's recomendations?

I've found that if I turn off iCloud, then my battery life improved from 2 hours and 45 minutes to 4 hours and 5 minutes. I think it's the constant streaming that may have an effect on the battery.

i haven't tried this yet, but a lot of people seem to be getting some life back after doing a clean install. did you install over your old OS or did you clean install?
