Hi all, I can't seem to open any of my microsoft office programs since I upgraded to Mountain Lion today.

 

Anyone else having this problem? I know they say it's compatible but it keeps opening then closing.. screen shot enclosed.

Hello everyone had the same problems today. updated system to mountain lion and office wouldn't work anymore. tried everything this thread suggested. but still office crashed when i tried to open. i realized that the application always quit after initializing the fonts database. the solution i finally found was: open the font application. sorry dont know the english word.The german version is called "Schriftsammlung"Go to Schriftsammlung > Ablage > Standardschriften wiederherstellen Since i did that.. Office opens without a problem. Hope that helps..

Forget about iCloud for now. It won't do anything with Chrome (only Safari). So, open Chrome on your original user account, go to (in the menu bar) Chrome > Preferences and sign in to Chrome. It should suck up all of your bookmarks and other preferences. Then, if you sign in with the same google account in Chrome in the new user account, it should magically bring all of that stuff in.  I don't use Chrome, so I haven't really tried, but give it a shot and let me know if it works.
