Hi all, I can't seem to open any of my microsoft office programs since I upgraded to Mountain Lion today.
Anyone else having this problem? I know they say it's compatible but it keeps opening then closing.. screen shot enclosed.

Forget about iCloud for now. It won't do anything with Chrome (only Safari).
So, open Chrome on your original user account, go to (in the menu bar) Chrome > Preferences and sign in to Chrome. It should suck up all of your bookmarks and other preferences. Then, if you sign in with the same google account in Chrome in the new user account, it should magically bring all of that stuff in.
I don't use Chrome, so I haven't really tried, but give it a shot and let me know if it works.

had the same problems today. updated system to mountain lion and office wouldn't work anymore. tried everything this thread suggested. but still office crashed when i tried to open.
i realized that the application always quit after initializing the fonts database.
the solution i finally found was:
open the font application. sorry dont know the english word.
The german version is called "Schriftsammlung"
Go to Schriftsammlung > Ablage > Standardschriften wiederherstellen
Since i did that.. Office opens without a problem.

So basically you restored the font data base to the original.
It must be a third-party font I downloaded...I don't want to lose my fonts, though..

I went through my FontBook and deleted all problematic fonts and removing duplicates.
That seemed to solve the problem.
Ps. Anyone else notice when they type in this forum, the cursor jumps? I'm on a PC desktop at the moment -- that shouldn't happen.

That didn't work for me, but the complete reset to the system fonts did. Will try to add the other fonts back and see which one was the corrupted one.
