I am creating a mobile web site in i web and i want to make a button clickable so it dials a phone number. i can put in a html snippit that does it but it shows the phone number... and if i move it behind the button you can no longer click on it. Any ideas?

Upload the image to a folder on your server. The URL to the image will be...
http://www.domain-name.com/folder-name/image-name.jpeg or .png or whatever.
Wrap this in an anchor tag and past the code into a Snippet. Example...
http://96.0.63.10/iWeb-Test-2/phone.html
Make sure you put the "1" in front of the area code like this - 18881234321

For mobile websites its also a good idea to have an email button which opens the default mail app on the device instead of a contact form.
The first is a button and the second a text link...

not sure if you know or have an inside track on this but i have been reading that Apple is no longer updating I-Web... do you know if this is true? should be trying to learn a new software package for building my site? I-Web is very user friendly and i have not found anything yet that comes close. Just thought i would ask since you seem to know a lot about i-web.

iWeb is no longer being supported by Apple.
You can build an iPhone version of your site with iWeb and auto direct users to it...

However, the trend nowadays is to create responsive sites which work on all devices and you can't do that with a drag and drop editor like iWeb...

Some of the online site builders, like Wix for example, will also allow you to create a mobile version of your site. These do not produce good code and you are limited to the facilities provided.
The only alternative I can find in iWeb's price range is this one which also has the advantage of being cross platform...

This would save you the indignity of using an online site builder if you needed to update the site from a Windows machine.
