MacBook Pro (Mid 2010) crashes continuously

My MacBook crashes continuously for about a month now (started while using OS X Lion). My thought was to wait for Mountain Lion, make a clean install (formatting HDD) and then this should be resolved. Well, it didn't work. Still crashing while using more than 3-4 apps at the same time. All updates installed.

I really hope that someone is able to help me here. I already tried to run the Apple Hardware Test, but it's not available on my machine...

My guess it's that this might be a hardware problem, as it happened with Lion before.

This is the error report from the last crash (20 minutes ago):

I've just found this thread. My 2010 15" MCP has been getting worse and worse and today has just crashed 4 times in about an hour while I'm trying to edit a video. As it was out of warranty I just put up with it but today, frustrated with the crashes, I decided to google to see if there was a simple solution and came across this thread.

I've just booked a genius bar appointment for thursday where I was argue my case that I didn't realise there was a recall for this model. Has anyone recently had success with having this issue fixed?

Download gfxCardStatus... Folks will tell you to download any version before 2.0 but I've been using 2.3 with no problems. Set the application to "Integrated Only" and just keep an eye out for any time the program notifies you of a switch to the "Discrete" or "Dynamic" graphics mode. Its a pain sometimes if the program won't let you switch back to "Integrated" without closing an application but you can just open most applications back up and the graphics won't switch.

I decided to search the net for a solution and found that most threads, including this one, recommend downloading the NVIDIA CUDA Tool kit. I couldnt tell if the latest one would work but I gave it a shot and nothing broke (thankfully). Decided to switch GFX to dynamic mode and see if the panic attacks come back

I really wish Apple would just fix our issues once and for wall. My logic board was replaced in 2011/2012 after I took it in but the problem came back with each OS update. I didn't use my macbook pro for 2-3 years cause of the crashes and only discovered GFX last spring. How sad that I cant bill Apple for the years this macbook pro sat useless.

Good luck:
