MagSafe 2 is weak

Hi. I just got a new MacBook Air and the MagSafe 2 connector doesn't hold very tightly - at least compared to my previous model.

I was wondering if this is normal for the new connectors or if anyone has found a solution to strengthen the magnet?

Thanks,

Devin

Im not against you, If youve got a new Air with the NEW charger connector, ....you know well you can leave it off charge a LONG time.

Same new Air I have as well.

I never said it was harmful in specific.........but easily could be "in general" . Apple designed it that way for "everyone / everyday known use"

not just "your (type) of safe use" .

its not loose its designed that way for several good reasons.

The gauss rating of the magnet was dropped from an N45 down to an N35 or N38 (magnetic power rating).

and the design was changed to get rid of the "yank" problem of someone tripping over the cord and pulling their Mac to the floor.

this WAS a "problem" in coffee shops when a 'person' would walk by and trip over someones charging cord.

I like a number of others have to question Apple's desire to make everything smaller, and in this case without ANY benefit.

I'm sick of trying to make sure the Green charge light is on before I use my Air or it just goes to sleep because it thinks (and is) on battery thanks to the Magsafe2 not attaching snugly.

Please Apple redesign the thing like the older and reliable version, which never failed me through at least 5 generations of MacBooks
