VPN not working on OS X server

Hi, I have installed OS X server on Mountain Lion and couldnt able to make the VPN work ..

When i connect from iphone & ipad client, I see below authentication error ... I am pretty sure, the details entered in iphone/ipad are correct as I installed it via profile manager ..any help on this would be appreciated...

I too had this problem. After much searching, I thought I would enable Open Directory, create a network user account, change my iPhone VPN to use the newly created account, and magically was connected on the first try. After that, I tried using the original name and it still failed to authenticate.


It seems existing user accounts created prior to the VPN server install need something extra to get authenticated but I do not know what that is. My workaround is working just fine.
