Nook for Mac isn't working with Mountain Lion. What gives?

Ever since I installed Mountain Lion a few days ago, suddenly my Nook software for Mac isn't working. It will open up, but it stops at the gray background with Nook logo. Is anyone else who has a Nook having this same issue?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion

Putting the App inside a folder within the App folder seems to work. I also found that running repair permissions makes the App work. When I asked B&N what is wrong they told me to use the web App, it worked the first time I used it but now all I get is a blank page.

I also have a home built PC with windows 8 on it, that App works flawlessly, maybe B&N doesn't realize people use Mac's more and more now!

From reading post it appears this problem with Mac's has been going on for months, B&N obbiously doesn't care. Once I use up my gift card I will not be going back!

I had the same issue with the Nook. Try creating an alias to the Nook in the Finder. Make sure the Nook is not already open and then double click the Nook in the Finder. That seems to work for me most of the time. I've used the Nook on my PC with no issues. Hopefully, Barnes & Noble will fix the Nook on the Mac with the next version.

From what I can tell Willweezer/s suggestion has also worked just fine for me, I'm reading a book series that isn't available via nook for web so my only option was reading it on my iphone which *****. As far as people claiming this is gonna make them stop using Barnes & Noble, you act like a huge corporation can immediately jump at thw whim of a small portion of their customer base every time there's a problem. You have a problem with the nook app not working for mountain lion for the 8 months it's been out, yet have no complaints that ibooks isn't even available for the operating system going on 3 years now?
