Since the upgrade, my computer is crashing all the time

I have VirtualBox installed, so same comments on that as Thomas vis-a-vis parallels.

The SoundFlower uninstaller is on their dmg. So, if you deleted it, redownload the installer and it has an applescript to uninstall. As Thomas suggested, that is likely the cause.

I have all three of these installed on my Imac , yesterday the mac was fine after the ML install , I did have another app (CRYSTAL BLACK) installed after I used the programs uninstaller nothing wants to open , Finder ,MAS , Mail ,Safari etc , etc. The MAS just flashes , finder will not even open to my set window , I did notice that this did not happen until the Imac (I have set to wake at 4:45 AM) started up this morning.

Should I maybe do a complete reinstall of ML at this point??

IMAC47, as you're not having kernel panics, your problem is different than popole77's. You would do better to start your own topic. Many people won't be willing to discuss your issue on this topic, since doing so would be considered threadjacking.

Yes thats it. Looks as though Paralells may be your issue. there are reports of it crashing ML

whoops sorry for some reason the thread appeared on page one which led me to believe that was the last post. I see that Thomas has advised correctly on this.

Paralells is the culprit if not soundflower.

Look at the comments sections - I would advise on a visit to their website forums.

There are reports of older versions not running on ML. I have yet to see any reports of it causing kernel panics on ML, though I'm sure someone out there may have such an old version that it causes them. As I already said, the version I have (which is the most current version) works just fine.

A quick visit to the link I provided will show that some ML users are indeed having issues with the latest version.

Sorry , didn't realize that my problem was different. How can I tell if this is a kernal panic , will it be in the crash report and if so then can I refer back to this thread?

Yes , I have had several of then since this morning. I am at work right now so I will have to do this tonight when I get home. Thanks for the help.

Go to the Mountain Lion forum and click the "Start a discussion" link under Actions in the right-hand sidebar. That will start a new topic. Choose a subject that briefly describes the problem, and include as many details as possible in the body of the message.

If you are seeing a message in multiple languages saying you need to restart, then that's a kernel panic. But you described different symptoms, so it doesn't sound like that's your problem.

PLEASE don't post any crash logs in this topic, and only post them on your new topic if someone asks for them. They tend to be very long and may not be very useful, depending on the problem.
