Kies Does Not Work on Mac OS Mt Lion 10.8

Hi,

I have done the full workaround with Unarchiever, but Kies does not even load when I click on it. This means I can't solve potential synchronisation problems either.

I am connecting a Samsung IG9100 to a Macbook 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and only need Kies for the unbranded ICS update.

What can I do?

I downoaded a previous version of Kies (KiesMac_1.2.0.12012_6_9) and problem solved.

Thanks ! That did work ! I didn't have that auto notification box selected originally but I selected it when last trying to connect. Reopened Kies, deselected it, closed and reopened Kies again, and voila... phone connected 🙂

Well what I did was download Kies Air to my Galaxy Note. Then plugged in the USB to my mac and opened Safari and entered the URL address that comes up on Galaxy Note. It brings up all the stuff on phone that you can download or upload.

I am dropping this since none of the above solutions work for me.

I have OSX 10.8, latest KIES and I also have tried the old 1.2 version of KIES

Unchecking automatic "update" does not work neither with Samsung Ch@t 335 😟

I always get a message "This device is not supported by KIES" that I find hard to believe.

Anybody has found a solution since August 2012? 🙂

Well, after that worked, an update to the phone and once again back to square one.

My new solution.... selling the Galaxy once Blackberry 10 launches... at least their Desktop Software and phones played nicely with Macs !

I bought a Samsung note 2 and

Kies software for mac Kies_2.0.0.13023_10_1.dmg does not recognize samsung Note 2

Any idiea for another software to synchronyse my contacts and tasks ?

Well if your main concern is contact syncing, then maybe best to sync via Google (Gmail). Open your Mac address book, go into preferences, Accounts, On My Mac (Local), and syncronise with Google. Enter your Gmail info. Then on your note you can go into accounts and make sure it is set to sync with Gmail. You can Google this info further as there will be thorough explanations to be found if needed.

If your Samsung Kies cannot work on Mac OS Mt Lion 10.8, you can uninstall it and install again to check whether the version is proper, so you can check on http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/kies

Then, if it still fails in connecting, it is possible to install a Kies Air on the device so a url will occur to you on the phone. Next, go to the Mac to input the url on the Safari to connect them. That can help you manage your phone data with Samsung Kies on Mac.
