It seems the Bamboo tablet System Prefs are not working on Mountain Lion. Wacom doesn't provide a driver for 10.8 either. Roaring Apps confirms. Anybody has a solution?

I've found that if I reinstall the dock i can use it. But I have to reinstall the dock everytime I want to use it...
My Bamboo tablet MTE 450 quite an old one seems to be working.It wasn't plugged in whilst I downloaded Mountain Lion,but because of the loss of keyboard and mouse problems I needed to plug it back to get iMac working agian.So I have just left it and its woking ok.
I downloaded Mountain Lion again and all my problems seem to have been repaired.

My 2009 Bamboo Pen and Touch worked flawlessly under Lion and Snow Leopard, on my late 2010 Macbook Pro. But on Mountain Lion, if I unplug and plug it again with the notebook on, the keyboard, trackpad, Bluetooth and USB ports become unresponsive, forcing a reboot on the power button.

Wacom reps sent me a reply yesterday (http://forum.wacom.eu/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10121&start=10):
Please try this without tablet driver: If the same happens, it needs to be reported to Apple that Plug and Play on Mountain Lion has a problem. (OSX must supply power to the ports, that is not done by the tablet driver.) That might depend on the Mac model or USB chips used. - If the problem happens only with the tablet driver installed, leave the tablet attached or attach or before starting the Mac. (There will be a new Gatekeeper approved driver.)
A colleague of mine say that makes sense. Can anyone confirm that?

Ok, that means the problem is related to the tablet driver somehow. It could be that this happens only with certain tablet models or certain Macs. This needs further testing, since we did not see this here. There will be a driver update of course and then this should be fixed.

ITS EASY
you just have to go to System Preferences -> Press "control" and Remove the Bamboo preference.
That will fix it! Mountain Lion has built in the driver for the BAMBOO.

Actually the Bamboo driver, that lets me configure a number of options such as the tablet area that I'm going to use or the tablet buttons function, doesn't come bundled up with Mountain Lion.
So that doesn't solve anything, but thanks for the suggestion.

Check the Applications folder for Remove Pen Tablet.
I clicked Delete User Preferences and my Bamboo started working immediately in stylus mode where it had been stuck in mouse mode.
I don't think the Preferences Panel needed to be deleted at all, it was just the first thing I tried after looking here, but after I reset the User Preferences, I reinstalled the panel by dragging it from the trash back to the System Prefs application, and it opened just like before. No extra installation necessary.
