iWeb and Mountain Lion

Does or doesn't iWeb fully work in (other than mobile me component) in Mountain Lion? Why doesn't Apple support know the answer? I have three business sites on this and cannot afford to loose files/capabilities. This is a bit Microsoftish and scary. iWeb is an awesome program- yes I use other host servers already.

To have to spend hours redoing all my sites on another program-after having iWeb added only three years ago to my ilife package is ridiculous. And please - I don't need the "it was meant for soccer moms" commenttary. I have built websites using html and microsoft bases programs. As an artist- I prefer the look of iWeb built sites. Apple.....don't start doing to us what Microsoft does rendering fairly new programs useless with upgrades to new os.

I'm spent thirty mintutes experimenting with the trial version of Sandvox and wasn't impressed, but I need something to maintain my small business and local sports club website - I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any.

I don't think I'm going to be able to wait until they fix it. iWeb was doing the job fine, apart from a few little niggles, and was very cheap!

I wasn't sure if his remarks were aimed at me

not at you personally.

They screwed us

agreed.

first, dotmac... apple gave you free email account, then took away unless you pay for it... yet i still @mac.com id to use these forums.

then mobiteme, mo of the same and mo dismal... and pulled the rug right under your feet.

how screw is that?

now icloud, it's just another way to hook people into apple eco system.

and two words come to my mind: data mining.

With all the money Apple makes, it doesn't seem like a big deal to keep a small team on an iWeb project. I don't mind Apple pulling the MobileMe servers because there are many alternatives. But leaving the iWeb App unsupported does not sit well.

An iWeb App with modern clean code and the ability to sync through multiple devices via iCloud would be much appreciated.

Respectfully I disagree. Screwed is appropriate. iWeb was created for ease of use. They have already dicontinued support (bascially) and if you have to find back doors to make it work- defeats the entire premise. So I stand by screwed for those of us who have multiple sites and did use it for more than soccer mom team info (apple's language) and personal blogs. But thanks for your comments and info!
