Ringtones max. 30 seconds, why?

So, when can we use song langer than 30 seconds?

I can't understand why theres a limit to the lenght of the song.

I wan't to use some songs as a wakeup alarm (way more than 30 seconds)

I find it stupid to have such a limit.


It should be possible to select any song in the iPhones library.

How hard can it be?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

There are dozens of alarm clock apps that will allow you to select tracks from your music library as alarm sounds. I like Alarmed.
