I have a dent in my iPad's back cover on my volume button, so now my volume is permanently off and the speaker symbol is always on my screen whenever I'm using it. I was curious if Apple would be able to fix it? And how if they were able to?

Yes they can, but price I'm not totally sure. Usually if not under warranty, it's half the price of the iPad. I'd take it in to get it checked out. If its the original iPad, I'd suggest craigslisting it, use the money from that/repair cost and get a new one.
