need to print labels from a spreadsheet, like in the old days. Can't find where this is done. is it possible?

I have tried and failed to follow the instructions above, but have found a way to do it. Go to Avery.com or Avery.co.uk and select Templates and Software. Do not download any software, but select Avery Design and Print Online. This will allow you to specify what Avery label you are using and design the label. When you get the part where you want to merge your data, do not use the Numbers File, but instead open it and under FILE, EXPORT select CSV and save it. Use the CSV file to merge. Don't put your address text box too near the top or bottom of the label or you may find a small bit gets trimmed off. If your Avery label reference is not found then try .com or .co.uk (there may be other national wen sites not known to me).

OK. If you get around to selecting a label type, I'd be willing to take a crack at some options for you. Numbers has no built-in capability such as you described.

That's what I was looking for Wayne, "mail merge"! I read the manual page you posted earlier and I'm going to make my own label template and do the mail merge process to print. Thanks!
Yeah, I thought of that too, but as awesome as Pages and Numbers I knew there still had to be a way to do it. Thanks guys!

Thanks Ted. I just discovered this and did it last week. Saved the day. It's how I'll do it from now on until an easier solution is developed by Apple.
The mail merge disapeared from the latest update!! Just when i set everything up and needed to print a lot of envelopes. Anyone got a different solution?
Go back to Ver 2 for this particular work. That's my suggestion. Maybe this will blow over. Or, maybe a third party solution will appear.

I took someone's advice when I asked the same question and used the Avery.com tool and that's solved my problem.
That sounds like a great third party solution for labels. If the question involves printing directly on envelopes, it may not be so great. Have you checked this out?

Try saving address as .csv, import as a new group in contact, then print the group directly into whatever label or envelope or card you want.
