WSX keys not working

WSX keys not working

I had to go use another computer to post this...I went to boot up my Powerbook today, and when I went to log on, the W S and X keys didn't work. Since my login name has an "S" in it, I was outta luck. I called Applecare and they were stumped. They said to send it in, but before I wave bye bye to my baby for who knows how long, anyone have any ideas?

similar thing happened to the n key on my 12 G4 Powerbook no stickiness or loosness, it just stopped working!

Hook an external keyboard up so that you can back up anything important before you send it off.

So here's a weird one: I took my PB to the local Apple Store to get it fixed, and when I opened it up and it woke up out of sleep, the WSX keys worked fine. I don't know what happened, I tried a million things with the Apple Care Specialist when I called...I'm guessing the mere motion of the car ride over moght have fixed the issue...uh, yeah. They've been working fine for over a week, so we'll see.

You might want to invest in something like one of those roll-up soft keyboards to carry with you just in case it decides mess up again right when you really need it to work. I think they are fairly cheap. If it's just a loose connector, it might come loose again.
