How do I read a book that I purchased thru Apple store without using the Itunes features that will not open the purchased book on my Windows PC?

As advertised, ibooks are for iphone/ipad/ipod touch
You would need to sync the ibook to one of these devices in order to read it.
So, I will never be able to open the book that I purchased in Itunes from my PC? Just very odd. I am happy about the IPad but wanted to read the book from the computer as well. Books that I purchased from other stores and use BAM reader on the IPad, I am able to read in Adobe Digital Reader on the Windows PC.

I have no idea what the future holds. Currently, you cannot open an ibook on anything other than an ipod touch/iphone/ipad.
