Warranty on iPad, recieved from school?
Last year september, my school gave the entire freshman class ipads free of charge for the year as an experiment of the sort. Towards the end of the year my ipad screen was badly smashed and does not respond to touch, and is basically falling apart. The home button has gone missing and because the glass was smashed, the area it was in is able to be taken out and put back in. I notified the school and they said they would replace it next year. Later on, my grade was notified they were ours to keep, but we were responsible for all charges. I spoke to the school again and they said now I would have to pay for the ipad. It is a 16gb ipad 2 if that helps. Since the school purchased it in september, there is still some time left in the warranty. Currently my mom cant pay for the the replacement fee which is $250 if im not mistaken, but once school starts they will charge her the full price to replace my ipad since it is mandatory to have. Is there any sort of discount I can recieve on replacing it since it was bought by my school?
