I have a recurring event on my Calendar that I would like to delete. However, I don't see any option for deleting or declining the event. Also, this event shows up only on my iPhone, not on my Calendar on my Macbook, even though iCloud is turned on for my calendar. If anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it!

OK my wife just figured it out she was having the same problem on her iPhone 5. On the calander page where the event is listed hit inbox on the bottom right corner then on next page hit done on top right corner when you go back to the event the edit button reapears fot that event.
I have an event that will not allow me to delete "All Future Events", I try and it stays and says "Maybe". It has no spot to delete it. I have tried to undo my calendar and it hasn't helped... any ideas?
Had a recurring event from an app, showing on my gmail account/calendar, On an iPhone 6; IOS 10.3.2; Go to Settings, Calendar, scroll to the bottom and de-select "Events Found in Apps". Event gone! had a similar issue in January 17 solved by deleting the calendar, this was new.
You should be able to just go into your calender click on the event and then click edit and change the option "Repeat" to never
Find the first time that the event was entered by using the search field, and delete it from that date. You will be prompted to "Delete All Future Events."
I tried this but it said "Your response to the invitation cannot be sent" when I clicked decline. There is no option to delete it even on the first time the event was entered.
I think I solved it. I just deleted all my calendars from the phone and then added them back and the event disappeared.
Thanks! I have tried many options and never could rid myself of an unwanted entry. This was a quick and permanent fix. Kudos.
Click on "Edit Event", then scroll all the way to the bottom, and you'll see a big red "Delete Event" button.

This is the only technique that worked for me. I've been trying to get a twice-a-week repeating event deleted for the past two years. Thank you.
iCloud.com fixes this bug. Thanks homerjsimpson8, the only one who gave solid solution.
I tried this, but some of the events won't let me edit the calendar. Now what?
I tried this, but event doesn't appear on the iCloud calendar, nor does it appear on the Mac calendar.
This worked for me. Be patient for it to sync back up. It took mine about 5 minutes then everything started to populate back in my iCal. Thank you for your post. 🙂
