"Your account is temporarily unavailable."

I just ran into this problem whilst trying to update a bunch of iPhone apps in iTunes on my MacBook Pro. Multiple searches both here and on the general Internet turn up multiple cases and possible solutions. What I'd like to know before I contact spport and wait for a response is if anyone else is experiencing this problem or if it is just somehow isolated to me.

I managed to update Evernote, but after that any app I click on displays...

"Your account is temporarily unavailable.

The Store is unable to access your account information. You may continue to browse the Store. Please try again in a few minutes."

I've logged out and back in successfully and I can see my account information fine, so I wonder why "The Store" is unable to access it.

So... are other people seeing this error today (August 8th, 2012 at around 5:00PM PST)? If so, take comfort in knowing there are others (like me) out there in the same boat. If not, panic will begin to set in my frail yet masculine body.

Thanks for reading.

Still trying to repair the fallout from this debacle. Now a song I was trying to download yesterday has appeared twice in my iPhone, but with one of the copies non-removable, with no artwork. I tried a reset with no luck. So now I have unsynced all music and am in the middle of a resync. With over 5000 songs and videos, this is a real pain, not to mention time-consuming.

Please Apple Inc., warn us next time...

I Have been getting this error message for the past 2 weeks on all my devices, since IOS 8 upgrade

"Your account is temporarily unavailable."

i Have tried everything, my Apple TV seems to be ok but I did get that message on it once or twice but signed out and back in seemed to solve it, but my iPhone 5s and my ipad 2 and mini seems to get it that message 95% of the time, I have not noticed it on my iPad 4 or mini 3 yet but I don't use them as much because they are for personal use and these devices that I been seeing this message are used all day for work.

tried to work with support and they told me there is nothing on my account that would cause this message, they seemed to always blame my internet conection and or too many devices connected and that is just not the case because I have the hi ghost connection my cable offers and not all devices are on at the same time, but with IOS7 never had a problem.

is anyone else seeing this error since ios8
