You need to go somewhere where there's a better Internet connection. An Internet café, perhaps.
BTW it is about 4.5GB in size in total.
A quick google search found this link to local Tata Communications hotspots in India. Looks like it costs money per hour, and it gives no indication how fast the hotspot connections are. 4GB of data takes several hours to download on an average 1.5Mbps connection. Sub 1Mbps connection could take over a day.
Exactly. Some of us don't understand the situation in India. This is a country with sickest internet speeds. The internet segment is dominated by fraudulant companies. There is no consistency that is why most of the data transfer here is through Pen drives and torrent websites. We have never seen a good downlooad speed here. And on the top of inconsistency lies the Mac book Air without a built in RJ45 port.
If i have to do it in an internet cafe it will cost me more time and money than to purchase a Mac book air itself. Apple should start giving us software loaded flash drives at least at premium.
I tried to use one of the best connections available in the country at least in south india and i found that the download itseld is having a problem after 2.10 GB where it is getting struck, I am not able to go further. if i restart or pause and resume it starts from 0. Very painful download.
