Per-app Retina Scaling options?

Here's the problem: Some apps (mostly games) are launching auto-scaled at more than twice the Retina screen's physical size. For instance, let's say you are launching a full-screen app at 2880x1800 - that should be exactly the screen's native resolution. Instead, what you ACTUALLY get is only the top left QUARTER of a window that has been automatically scaled to more than twice the actual, physical size of the screen (OSX appears to be ignoring the resolution, and automatically scaling the app as if it were made for non-Retina resolutions).

Now when I use Windows 8, I have the ability to disable automatic scaling on a per-app basis, specifically for when apps misbehave due to scaling settings (such as opening far too physically/visibly large for the actual screen). Is there any similar option in OSX?

Because right now I have quite a few apps and games that are doing this automatic, inappropriate scaling on my Retina display... and I just want the ability to disable scaling on an app-by-app basis, as needed. Without such an option, a lot of my apps and games are unusable due to OSX's mishandling of scaling.
