safari 6.0 crash when right clicking a link and choosing open in new tab

I know that Java is not the issue, as I always disable it.

I'll try the permissions repair, but I am skeptical.

Also, everyone please remember to submit this to Apple, as it does not generate an automated crash message.

I'm pretty sure that it's happening whenever I right-click > 'open in new tab' on a link that is already coded to open in a new tab - anyone else seeing a correlation like that?

Have the same issue with Safari 6.0.2 (OSX 10.8.2) and the console notification ID 323002f. Sometimes it seems to be repeatable. Are there any solutions yet?

Deleted "Cookies and other Website related files" under Settings > Privacy. Now it seems to work fine the hole day.

Having the same issue on 2011 MBP 15" and 2012 Mac Mini as well as a 2007 MBP 15". Getting old as dirt. 2011 has a few extensions installed but 2007 MBP and 2012 Mac Mini have none installed. Always happens at a most inopportune time.

Same problem here - latest Safari, Mountain Lion on a 2011 iMac. It happens when I right click "open in new tab" and when I cmd click a link too.

Hi, same thing happened to me. What I have found so far is that the "crash" of Safari can be solved if you deactivate the Safari extensions. Go to Preferences -> Extensions and turn OFF the general Extension button. Extension button to "on" doesn't do the job even if you have deactivated all the individuall extensions!

For me it worked out. But of course it is not an ideal solution since everybody has some useful extensions where is used to work with. But at least Safari works.

Same problem here. I have two MacBookPros and an iMac. When right clicking on a link, Safari crashes at random without any warning or without any errror messages.

I've recently reinstalled Lion, and everything is ok untill I updated to 10.7.5 version and needed to upgrade Flash player plugin from 11.1 to 11.5. I'm quite sure that the Flash player is the cause of this issue since after uninstaling it, no anymore crashes to me.

I have tried to downgrade flash version to 11.1 but this version is not compatiable with Lion 10.7.5 and blocked. So far, I'm using Safari with no flash plugin installed as my main browser; and take advantage of Chrome when it comes to flash player stuffs.

I too am having the random and undocumented in the user crash logs crash of Safari when right-clicking (to open in new tab/window).

The extensions I have:

Add To Amazon

Subscribe to Feed

Again, turn off the Safari extensions (not each extension individually but the general extension turn-off switch in preferences) or as an alternative you might click on a link while pressing the cmd key. This opens the link in a new tab. Then, you won't face any crashes.

I see the crash with CMD-click. 😕

One thing that's odd about this is how intermittent it is. That makes it much harder to troubleshoot . . .

For what it is worth, I _may_ have seen fewer (if any) crashes since I reset Safari (under the Safari menu). Extensions are still on.
