how to disable game center

When I am playing pacman game center frequently takes a moment to push it's notification. Frequently when it does this blocks the top 5% of the game board. sometimes my pacman is up there and I can't see what is happening and gets chomped by a ghost.

Being that I frequently play when on the subway I sign in and out of the game often resulting in the game center notification being pushed each time and affecting my game play.

Apple censors explitaves so I can't really say how I feel here.

It's bad programming.

I hate game center and I want it out of my life.

You could also try enabling restrictions to see if that helps out any.

You can disable Multiplayer games in Game Center, and Adding Friends in Game Center.

Thanks Meg. It has long annoyed me so I tried what you suggested. Perfect, as you say just a little pop up appears at the top which you can ignore.

Yeah that works for me to - until I reboot. Then suddenly I'm logged into gamecenter again for all games :-(

that is exactly how it works for me....frustrating....isn't there a way to shut this thing down??

I agree we should have the ability to get rid of gamecenter, but how is it negatively affecting you? i mean i play games and don't really notice it, it hasn't had any effect on my game playing.

Settings/General/Restrictions - disable Multiplayer games.

Permanently disable Game Center as I described in my previous post. It works - not just for me, but for numerous other iOS users.

Just to say that FuckGameCenter already exist, as nearly every body here would have expected I guess :)

Two years later and this is still helpful. I didn't realize that that annoying full-screen animated finger jab fell under Notification Center control. Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!
