copy/paste and drag/drop not working in Mt. Lion

It looks like the suggestion of William Lloyd is probably correct. Uninstall that software according to the developer's instructions, then log out, log back in, and test.

Glad it solved the problem. I saw that other thread this morning and the solution was curious to me, so I'm glad I was able to find it (via search) and send you the info so you could fix it.

Yes... makes sense to ask MLB.tv if they know about the issue and when they're planning to fix it.

Oh and I'm not a MLB.tv user. 😉

Some more testing:

I myself am an Admin user.

When creating a new user (non-admin) I can drag n drop.

When creating a new user (admin) I can not drag n drop.

Solved and insalely stupid error. It simply was a finder setting disabling the folder animation. Thus folders wouldn't open when drag n dropping a file.

I feel stupid now.

Not to worry any more. I upgraded to the latest version of Total finder and that resolved the problem.

(Using version 10.8.5) This problem of the Copy/Paste function not working was my problem too. It would work when I first opened Word, one time, then all that was available was the Cut option. I found someone who suggested using the Disk Utilities/Repair Permissions. This has worked as of right now. Thank you! I cannot find the user who suggested it.
