How do I remove my credit card information from my iPad?

I purchased an app not too long ago. Everything went well. I have recently tried to install an app but I am unable. A message pops up stating that I have to log into my account due to payment information changes. It tells me my security code for my credit card is incorrect. I typed it in (the same code that I had used before, of course) and it still says it is incorrect. I no longer wish to have my credit card information on my account. There is no money on the credit card right now. Am I being charged? The purchase was a one time thing. It was a game. I have since deleted the app. Someone, help. I am now uncomfortable with this situation and would rather not deal with being on hold or having to explain again what has happened. Thank you.

To remove credit card information , sign in to your iTunes on the computer and get into your ACCOUNT INFORMATION and then APPLE ID SUMMARY. Look for PAYMENT TYPE then EDIT. Click on that and you should see a row of payment options such as Visa Mastercard Discover etc. At the end of that row is a button that says NONE. Click that button and you have removed your credit card information!!!

Wow, well I have no idea then . I think you are missing something, but if not and you are truely concerned, think about closing the credit card account you entered. Call the Ccard company and see what they can do for you.


I just don't see how you are not seeing the NONE button where I told you it was. This information is in iTunes.

You might need to go to your computer Itunes and It seems to me there are more options regarding purchases... such as Quick Links. There you have the Account Purchased Redeem and Support buttons. I have had to click on support and they have always been excellent with me. Prompt and very fair. You might find what you're looking for in Account or Purchased.
