yes I think the same, problem solved :-)
Today the update in app store work, no more error message.
Did not do anything to fix the issue; but today the problem seems to be solved - no more error message.
And it seems that others misteriously don't suffer from the problem any more.
I'm having the same problem gere in Florida (The operation couldn’t be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -1012.).
Running 10.8.2 on a MacBookPro9,1. Already tried restarting couple times, troubleshooting Netgear router, yet problem not solved. Any solutions?
I was having this problem on a iMac running 10.8.2 and came here to research the issue. Then it hit me when I saw somthing about an authentication error . . . I am running Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Mac & Little Snitch. I turned them both off and tried to run software update again and immediately got a good result. Update run with no further problem. Hope this helps someone out.
You're the Best! I have been having this issue with my iMac and MBP and it has been becoming frustrating, turning Kaspersky off fixed everything. Thanks
Thanks a lot, doc4153, i was really getting frustrated about that.
hi to all, so what i found out is that if you disable karsperky or whatever antivirus you have this will fix the problem, if you have seen a notification by karsperky telling you that there was an invalid icould.com certificate, then this is the best way to solve this, hope this helped
It really happened with me.
Disable Karspersky temporarily was the solution!
VERY NICE!!!! im sure glad i saw this post..... worked like a charm!
Thank you so much for sharing this info
Kaspersky you little devil you!!
I frequently have this problem - NSURL errordomain -1012. It's been a problem off and on for months and months, but mostly for the update action. I can get to apple.com and I can download OS updates manually. Here's what puzzles me: Looking back through the posts on this problem going back to 2011, I find many proposed solutions -- many but ot all having to do with DNS. But some were "fixed" with date corrections and others were told that it was a problem with Apple servers, just wait and it will clear. In fact one of the Apple "gurus" told me this.
I've tried them all and so far -- no joy. 😟 In addition, I have yet to see a definittive explaination of the root cause. Has anyone seen an Apple tech bulletin?
