I keep getting a 'To view this page, you must log in to area “Restricted” on staging.examiner.com:80' in Safari..

singaporean here also, experiencing same problem !

on mountain lion, safari.

I am still using LION OS and i am from singapore. I am also having this annoying problem on my macbook pro around 20 mins ago. I tried to delete all internet data, off my extensions, off and on my firewall, restart safari and restart laptop. Nothing work for me.

Ok, looks like its a Singapore problem related to singtel? I'm on Singtel ADSL too. Just to confirm;

Reset safari does not work.

Clearing cache does not work.

Flushing DNS cache does not work.

Disabling extentions does not work.

Diabling open DNS does not work.

Seems to be affecting only Singaporeans.

Just quick show of hands, is everyone on Singtel ADSL? Fiber? Starhub etc?

I am also in Singapore, running OS X 10.7.4, network is SingTel. Cannot load any site in Safari, and the App Store application is also displaying the same message, keeping me from doing anything. I am running Chrome and that works fine, for now. No one found any solution? I tried disabling extensions on Safari, resetting it. Currently running SOPHOS as well to see if that picks up anything. If anyone has any luck, please post back here.

Just tried on a friend's iphone using starhub. no problem. I'm on singtel. MBP and Mobile safari affected.

So do we at least get to name this problem/infection? How about Singapore Examiner Virus? Someone suggest something clever 🙂

i'm from singapore too and it has been occurring for the last 20-25 minutes and it's really fustrating cause i can't view the information that i need for my work!

i'm on Singtel's network too. i think it has to do with the network that Singtel is providing.

Interesting... i am on Singtel ADsl as well but my iphone not logged in to the WIfI and so far no prob. but my Macbk pro is facing the same problem . and yes i am in singapore as well.

Anyone try running Onyx or MacScan or similar?

seems ironic how singaporeans strive for education excellence and a virus dubbed "the examiner" is here to haunt us. i think it should be called Mr Examiner
