It's most likely an advertisement. Somebody at the Ad network or Examiner.com probably was testing some new ad at that URL. Then forgot to switch to the live URL before pushing out the advertisement.

So every site that uses the same ad network will hit the same staging server."

Not a Lion's problem. I'm using an iMac with Snow Leopard.

My isp is singnet. could it be their problem?

EVERYONE listen Up. This affects all Internet systems in Singapore.
Regards of whether ure using different browsers or singtel/starhub etc.
Even Windows OS and my Phone is affected
Not just MACs and safari. Prbably some massive internet bug attack/virus.

Just give some time for the issue to be fixed

its definitely a backend problem. possibly some mess up with the hosts or servers. first day of school of uni kids and we've got this. well done!

No result on sophos scan :-( . Tried to run Windows 7 under VM on 10.7.4 ...internet explorer gives the same error message

it don't happen just on mac. I had it on my office windows based system on the firefox too...

Only experiencing on singnet network only for now. Both my ipad and iphone is on M1 and nothing like this has happen yet

I'm using Mac OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard and Safari Version 5.1.7 (6534.57.2) on Singtel ADSL Broadband.

It's been happening for about 1 hour on my computer. It started when I was checking my Yahoo Mail. Now it happens everytime Safari is loading a new web page; ANY web page. I haven't checked on other browsers whether this problem persists or not.

I've never had a problem like this before.

I'm afraid it's phising for login & password by pretending it's for accessing restricted content, hoping people would punch in their login & password of their email accounts.

What do you guys think?

I am having same problem too... Using Singtel ADSL... I was trying to D/L Sim City at Facebook... Then Sh*t happens... Before that it was fine 😟

hey guess what, i'm on singnet business broadband and am running 2 windows 7 computers (not macs) and i still have that message..

somehow i think i would get that dialog box when using iTunes...

i would get that dialog box even when iTunes is not running... anyone gone to hardwarezone and see if there's a fix yet?

This is likely a Singtel issue. Anyone here having this issues from another telco?
