This Device Does Not Have The Necessary Services

What I'm trying to do is, just AirDrop few photos from iMac to iPhone, and i keep having this message, and airdrop cannot find my iPhone. It does not want to pair up with my mac at all. I'm am running iOS X Mavericks and an older iphone update, but it should still work no?

Hello Tom:

A Bluetooth device may be only paired with one thing at a time.

You need to delete/uninstall them from your previous computer.

clicked cancel and went into the "set up BT device" and highlighted whichever device I wanted set up and clicked continue.

Didn't work. Do you work for Apple?

I simply needed to go into System Prefernces under Sharing and turn on Bluetooth File Sharing. Problem went away.

on the mac air i went to preference- sharing- turned bluetooth sharing on and that worked for me

Thanks. So how can I transfer files? Connecting a USB cable doesn't work as the Mac doesn't seem to recognise it's connected?

Easiest solution, forget the slow, bug-laden and practically useless Bluetooth and use email to send the images.

The files are too big to email.
