How do I fix sparsbundle already in use error message

My husband was able to back up even though I couldn't (sparsebundle in use), so I thought restarting the drive would not change anything. It worked, though. Problem solved. Thanks!

Info only. Airport 5.6 works with Mountain Lion because I use it. The problem is finding it. I was able to drag from my Snow Leopard partition. Here is a link to download it.

Link to download Airport 5.6, which should allow Mende1 advice to work. See above post. It will work with 10.8.2.
