DTT on Mac

Question

DTT on Mac

Hi guys and Gals.

Interseted in getting one of the kits to get DTT on my imac. There is two I have seen on the site. Both seem very similar but are priced differently. Anyone got any advice on this and if so which is the best one to get.
Any help would be greatly appriciated

Hi Luke. I'd suggest you go to sites like VersionTracker and MacUpdate:
http://www.versiontracker.com/
http://www.macupdate.com/

Look up DTT (Digital Terrestrial Television) and you'll find things like El Gato, etc.

Read the comments posted and attached to each package. It's a great source for identifying software packages and finding opinions on the software's viability.

Oh...each site has rankings on the packages as well.

Hi there

Would highly recommend the eye tv for dtt from elgato. Works flawlessly on my iMac G5 very good quality and excellent software, probably the best (in my opinion that is).

The latest Eye TV 2 software is absolutely brilliant, with on screen guide to help you choose which programmes to record at the click of a mouse.

Thats the one I was looking at. There is another slightly cheaper one on the site by Miglia. I know it uses the same software so is there much difference between the two?

The miglia one seems to have had some good reviews also - personal preference i guess.

The only problem i can see is when its attached to a usb port on the imac how will the IR remote signal get though to it. I suppose you could connect it to a usb hub.
