Mail - repeats/replays sounds when plugging headphones

Same thing happens on Mavericks for me but it's a little better, it seems to stop after one or two sounds.

Same issue here. Just got about 200 seconds of mail sounds, continuously, after plugging in my headphones. I also have this issue when I use AirPlay to my AppleTV.

+1 for me. Only I have had the issues for years. I have always guessed it was mail. I use Outlook not mac mail. I receive around three thousand messages a day, so it can take a really long time for the sound to drop for me.

here we are in 2015, and the same issues still happens.

Same thing here for nearly 3 years on my macbook air 2011 and Air 2013, both on 10.8.5. 20 years on Macs & have never had so many issues.

I will say that computer "crashes" are a thing of the past which is amazing, but so many other little issues arise constantly. And why does it seem like Apple ignores these forum complaints more and more as time goes on..? It's almost as though "We're too big to fail, so we'll just put out another OS & you'll forget all about the bugs in the last one."

There has got to be a fix for this other than updating to a new OS which my 512GB Air does not have room for! a topic for another forum topic, but how on EARTH does a 512gb fill up on files considered "Other"??? never seen such a ting in all my 20+ years on Mac, and no APPLE utility to fix it, scan it, see what those files are.
