iTunes Match Sync keeps restarting before songs are uploaded to cloud.

I've been trying for a few days to complete the iTunes Match process but every time I get to "Step 3" and my songs that are not available in iTunes start to get uploaded into the cloud, the process starts over again. Any advice?

I just signed up yesterday, and I, too, am having this problem!!! My computer has all the 4000 songs loaded, as does my iPad III and my iPhone 4. I can't get the stupid songs to upload to "match." It almost completes stage two and then goes back to stage one. I've tried everything, to no avail! Please, someone, help. This is ridiculous.

I'm also experiencing "loop" problems since purchasing iTunes Match two days ago.

I did the following after reading the advice on several forums:

I pressed the option key while clicking on "turn of iTunes Match". Then I updated Genius. Then I turned iTunes Match back on. Result: I got to step 3, but after a few seconds it went back to step 2.

Strangely enough, when it restarts step 2, it always starts at about 6500 of my 8675 songs to be matched.

Can anyone help? I am seriously considering a refund by now...

Yes, that's what it's been doing on my mac as well since I registered for that crap, about 2 months ago. In your case, the first 6500 were found in the itunes store, so they don't need to be re-scanned. It keeps rescanning the ones that it needs to upload.

In my case, it *sometimes* manages to upload 2 or 3 songs, then restarts. Most of the time it starts uploading something (I can see it in my network monitor), but restarts before it could complete anything. I've tried all "fixes" described in this thread, but nothing has made the slightest difference. My mac runs pretty much all the time, and since the 3rd of September, more than two months ago, it has managed to upload about 1000 songs, out of 2700... If I were you I would ask for a refund before it's too late. itunes Match is a joke.

Back during Apple's good days, there would ALWAYS be a representative from Apple who would chime in at this point and offer up some solutions or empathy. But this is the second thread I've read with nothing but crickets chirping from Apple: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3494087?answerId=20493570022#20493570022

Has anyone made an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar? At least then you can look someone in the eye and get a real response...

Just adding my voice to this. Keeps restarting the scan at about 85xx of 9447 songs. Never completes. I second the opinion that for some time now, Apple has remained very quiet on this and other issues that have been plaguing users for many months. Been an apple loyalist since mid 1980's, but I think I'm about at the end, for many more reasons than this itunes debacle. Such a shame, too, as my cell provider (T-Mobile) has finally announced that we'll get the iPhone next year.
