I have been encountering a blue spinning ball sometimes while using the new Mountain Lion Safari. What does it indicate? Is it indicative of your Mac being slow (like the Spinning Beach Ball) or is it harmless?!
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion, 13" 2.5 GHz Dual Core i5, 4 GB
It appears if you Option click on the Safari refresh icon in the search / URL window.
Quit and Re-start Safari in Mountain Lion to restore the original cursor.
The Option key (during a instance ends that instance) but the Safari restart restores the default cursor.
I don't think it indicates a problem. I've tried to find out more about it here https://developer.apple.com but haven't managed to track anything down as I'm no longer familiar with the layout of all the documentation.
Does it indicate any sort of problem with my MBP?! Or does it simply show that the webpage is heavy and is being loaded?..
This is the "wait" cursor that Apple's JavaScript implementation uses in certain situations.
I'm also having this problem and I really want to know if there is anything wrong with my Macbook Pro. Have you found an answer yet?
