iPod classic 120 gb won't charge

Hi everyone

I have a 120 gb iPod classic which I've had for a few years now. Since I've gotten my iPhone I've been leaving it in my car for easy access to listen to music. I haven't used it for a few months now and so I decided to charge it while I was driving using my car charger. It was working fine and so I decided to bring it inside to charge and nothing happened. It wouldn't charge at all. I tried all of my home chargers and nothing. I don't think it's an issue with the battery since I have never really used that iPod much and it had just been charging. Now it's completely dead and when I plug it into a charger a quick message of "connect to power" pops up before the screen goes black again. Please help if you can!

Have you tried connecting it to a PC USB2.0 port and see what is shown on the iPod Screen?

iPod Classic safeguard itself from over charging, by tripping, if the charging current is over 1000mA.

These new wall chargers can go to 2000mA, so as to charge iPhones and iPad faster.

If you have a dual outlet port wall charger, use those, they normally have a 10W and a 5W (1000mA) outlet.

Have a nice day!🙂
