Best way to compress video file?

Hi all.

I have a 4GB movie file in quicktime, which I need to compress to at least 1020MB or under.

Simply, what would be the best way to do this whilst not losing too much quality on the video file?

Compressing MOV video files won't effect the quality of video files.
