Mirror BBC iPlayer on iPad to tv

You can mirror to your tv via apple tv using the bbc iPlayer app.

when watching a programme, press pause, open the multi task bar by double clicking the home button or 4 fingered multi gesture.

Once opened scroll left to the iPod controls and you will see the icon to mirror to tv.

Surely this is a function for the BBC to build in their software rather than Apple.

Not sure what it is to do with BBC

If OP isn't using the relevant hardware he can use a cable as above

Some media providers have disabled the ability to project out of the iPad, even the newer models. Possibly the BBC is in this group.
