Mail in Mountain Lion is a shambles.

Mail in Mountain Lion is a shambles. Rules do not work. If I receive a mail on one account, when I reply it defaults to my personal mac account, not the account under which the mail was received. I'm switching to Postbox until Apple sorts out Mail. The Mail client should at least be on a par with operating system - it's not; it's currently sub-standard and unusable in a professional context using multiple mail accounts.

What's meant by bringing all gmail accounts into one apple account? I can't imagine the mayhem replying to separate gmail accounts from one apple account - huh?

Thanks in advance...

I wish I understood some of these questions better. I use Mail... and have no problems. Perhaps screen shots, or screen recordings. I do not understand.

Well - a year later and 5 updates and Mail Rules are still broken.

Coming from Snow Leopard and hving many things refined and functioning very good - ML is deplorable by comparison.

It's amazing that after nearly 40 years of software development a company cannot maintain stable software from one version to the next.

Here's to hoping that Mavericks has fixed this garbage.
