Sprint iPhone 4s will not download apps.

Just wanted to weigh in. I'm on a 4s with Verizon and having the same issue. So far I've only tried:

Reboot iPhone

Delete problem apps and reinstall from mobile

Switch to 3G/Wifi

Forget Wifi network and re-add

I will try the long list of solutions provided and report back if any work for me. From the thread it seems to be an apple issue more than a provider one.

I've been having the same problem it's gonna be a month next week, I think it's ridiculous how we pay hundreds of dollars for their services and they can't even tell us about when this will be fixed. I am beyond mad, Ive called sprint about 10 times this month and they cannot give me an answer and to top it off they're extremely rude. This is a joke, so done with sprint after my contract is over. If any of you find a solution to this problem I would really appreciate it thank you.

im having the same problem, also starting yesterday i cannot send or receive calls or texts for hours at a time.

Sprint said it is because the ios 6 software is coming out....

Sprint is flat out wrong. The fact that an update to the iOS software is coming out on Wednesday is not a cause for your inablity to make or receive calls.

Try the following troublshooting steps for the issue with calls:

Well, glad you said something, I was as well. My 3G has been a small circle with an error, cannt open at this time. My personal hotspot, cold hotspot. My patience is running out with Apple and Sprint. Apple has time to being a new iPhone out, however screw the rest of us who paid dearly for this IPhone that has turned to crap.

I'm breaking my contract, I've documented all my issues with Sprint & Apple as a duo. I'm also contacting the BBB tomorrow, so done!!! They are both responsible, Apple for a product that does not do what it was sold to do, Sprint charging for a service that you do not receive!

My Sprint iPhone 4S wont download apps over 3G. It fills the progress bar about halfway and then goes back to waiting... and does that a few times before it finally says it's unable to download the application. The data connection is active and it used to work fine, It just stopped a few weeks ago. Downloading over WiFi works perfectly fine, but if I'm paying for 3G I should be able to use it!

I am STILL in the same boat. I cannot find any answers on when this going to be fixed. None of the phone/apple ID resetting options fix the problem either.

Has anyone tired downloading iOS 6? I'm hoping that will fix the problem

I'm still on 5.1.1 and my phone was downloading apps over 3G just fine since yesterday a few hours after I last posted.

Downloaded it yesterday. Deleted an app on my phone and then went back to re-download it and failed. Still needed the wifi to get a full download. I called Spring monday night and they said hopefully by the weekend it will be fixed due to the iPhone 5 hitting stores.

I am having the same problem. Sprint phone, no app updates working. Tried EVERYTHING. Started a day or two ago. Did anyone ever get answers? I downloaded iOS6 and it worked fine for awhile...

I just got my phone replaced tonight with it being back to iOS 5.1.1 and I still can't download apps over 3G. I also cannot stay connected to my wifi for more than 5 minutes in my house.

I'm on 5.1.1 still and I can download and install apps fine now. They fixed it for me a day or two before iOS 6 came out. My mom's Sprint 4S also has no issues downloading apps anymore. She has iOS 6 on hers.

What did they do to your phone? Did your mom's have issues before? This is so weird and frustrating!
