Sprint iPhone 4s will not download apps.

For two weeks I have not been able to download apps <20mb on my Sprint iPhone 4s. I'm not the only one, as several people in the store at the time were having the same issue. They didn't know what to tell me because "Apple and Sprint know about the issue, but neither one wants to take the blame."

My Sprint Android devices download apps just fine.

However, my iPhone 4s downloads apps on WiFi just fine.

Wat do Big Fruit? Help me out here please. Downloading apps is a rudimentary feature of the smartphone at this stage in the game.

They didn't actually do anything specifically to my phone or my mom's. It just started working one day... And yes, they were both messed up. Neither would download apps over 3G, but now for whatever reason they both do...

Interesting. I know my apps started downloading somewhat over 3G once iOS 6 was installed, but they took FOREVER to download. I'm currently on 5.1.1 and am hesitant to go back to 6 because of all the bugs. :/

Apparently iOS 6 was suppose to fix the bug issue for downloading apps over 3G because it's a whole new app store under that software. That's what a Sprint rep. told me.

After trying everything I finally took it to the apple store and they took care of it, it works fine now. If you do plan on taking it to the apple store you might want to back your phone up on your computer cause they will erase everything! Good luck :)

I'm not too sure what they did I think he said something about restoring it? And he also updated it to iOS 6.

There's no way of downgrading an iPhone 4S once you update to iOS 6. Apple doesn't allow you to restore to old versions of iOS. There's also no hack that lets you do it on any A5+ device.

Yeah, I am well aware of that. Besides the apps not downloading on my phone, I wasn't able to get a solid connection to my house wifi. I did every trick in the book to fix it, but nothing was working. I took it to the apple store and they saw that I did everything, so they replaced it with a new 4s that's back on iOS 5. I finally was able to fix my wifi problem, but the apps definitely didn't download over 3G on iOS 5. I get that "unable to download apps at the time". I'm just a little nervous to upgrade back to 6 again due to the wifi problem. But I really do think that iOS 6 fixed the app download problem. It was still a bit slow for them to fully download.
