Format MacBook Pro

Hello Please help me :


I want to sell my MacBook Pro to another person, What i do to Format it and delete all my files and Apple ID ? ( I don't have format disk ).

As wjosten states following what Clifton posted as Kappy's advice will NOT reinstall Lion. That will reinstall Mt Lion and that Mac can NOT be sold with Mt Lion installed.


DO NOT FOLLOW THAT ADVICE. IT IS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!


You have to use Internet Recovery to reinstall Lion.


At boot hold down the Command+Option+r keys until you see a spinning Globe in the center of the screen.

Have the computer WIRED to your internet router, Ethernet cable from computer to router.

Then once that screen loads you hace to Repartition the drive as ONE partition. that will remove all traces of Mt Lion from the system. Then you reinstall Mac OS X and that will reinstall Lion on the system.
