How to change the default font (Noteworthy) in Preview > Annotation > Note ?

Question

How to change the default font (Noteworthy) in Preview > Annotation > Note ?

Thanks for any help guys. Noteworthy is horrible, in my view. But this does not matter. I simply do not want to use it, and woudl be fine with having helvetica back as the annotation typeface.

Neither is Preview responding to changes I attempt in the type menu, nor did I find an entry when using “defaults read com.apple.Preview” in the Terminal.

Any idea? Cheers.

Sorry if this doesn't apply in Mountain Lion (no way to look at ML right now), but I see this in Preview under Mavericks:

I click the annotation button (circled in red) and draw a box. I can then change the text to any active font using the drop down menu (circled in green).

Thanks – if only it would be that easy.

It seems to be a bug, which is plausible given the fact that my com. apple.preview defaults actually speak of helevtica, while notes are still shown in noteworthy.

Select the words, right-click > Font > Show Fonts

My workaround: look for the font noteworthy in the finder and simply delete it. It takes, I think, Lucinda, doesn't look as crappy.

I thought this was just a new Mavericks issue. I can't believe this hasn't been addressed for over a year and over an OS release. Is it still a bug for all of y'all?

Thanks Kurt. I was talking about notes specifically (Tools - Annotate - Note). I can't seem to change the font for that.

Didn't realize this was in Mountain Lion forum, oops

I'm guessing it's a new addition to Preview in Mavericks. If I choose to add a Note to a PDF file, I can still select any available font, same as shown above.
