I cannot connect to iTunes Store either. I am posting this from my ipad. My iOS is up to date. I can see all my apps on the iTunes Store. I just can't buy anything or download anything from the iTunes Store. I am trying to reinstall a purchased app. I have tried changing the date, shutting down ipad multiple times, removing the iTunes app from home button area. Can anyone help me?
Same thing is happening to me I've change the date, resarted it, and nothing changes it keeps saying it can't connect to the itunes store.
I had the same problem, i tried all this things on the post - changing the date, signing in and out, changing the sate, restoring etc. i tried them many times , and in different combinations. I finally got it to connect and update, but i think it was totally random, like if it was a busy server issue the whole time.
Good luck folks, my advice is keep trying. If any of you are as old as me, it is kind of like trying to get lucky slotting in to a VAX syste.
This just fixed it for me. I went directly to the iTunes Store app on my ipad. Purchased a song. It downloaded great. I was then able to select the App Store icon and re-download my purchased app. It was as if the App Store was then able to figure out who I was and establish a connection.
Same fix worked for me just bought the free single of the week and now everything is working again. Updated all my apps with no problems.
Having same issue with iPod
When i put my password in to download new ap i get the cant connect message. My password is right as i used it to log in here....
I'm having the same issues with my ipad mini. Tried to download an app and it said it could not connect to iTunes Store. I shut down my ipad, I turned my router on and off I changed my password.... Can't even download a free song like AJM531
Have restarted ipad twice and am still unable to connect
I had this happen to me once before. It just all of a sudden started working again, maybe tomorrow it will work, if not I'm going to contact apple

I tried several recommendations to no avail, then tried logging back into the App Store with my Apple ID using me.com vice mac.com and re-connected immediately.

Same here...tried all the solutions posted and no luck. Talk about frustrating! Hopefully this is a bug that they quickly fix...
I am having the same problem. My iphone is fine however. Have changed time, closed apps off of taskbar, changed appleid password (new one works everywhere else), restarted ipad numerous time using home and sleep buttons simultaneously and also just shutting down. Very annoying. Why is apple so difficult to get info from?
