I also cannot download anything. Click on the 'free' button, then the 'install' button and it just cycles back to 'free'. This is on both my iPhone and iPad. Also does not work in iTunes. Comes up with an error message:

---Could not purchase "(app name here)". An unknown error occurred (-50). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.---

I am having the same issue. About an hour ago I tried downloading the free Target app. It kept stalling out and never asked for my password or anything. I reset the iPhone 5s with IOS 7 and had the same issue. I went into settings and signed out of the iTunes store and restarted the phone. Next I tried signing back in and now it says I can't access iTunes. This happens on both WIFI and LTE. Next I went to my PC and through iTunes I located the same app. I tried downloading and it asks for a password. When I input the info it gives me an itunes error (-50). I can verify that I can log on to my Apple ID through appleid.apple.com.
