ipad lan connection

You cannot purchase a WiFi router in India in order to connect the Ethernet USB to the router? There is no keyboard that will provide an Internet connection via an Ethernet connection to the iPad.

Keyboard? What?! no. Unless its something out of harry potter I havent heard of any keyboard doing that. He has internet though a LAN....He could buy a wireless router to plug the lan into which would give him wireless. Easy fix. Its all up to his computer. If he is using the USB as an access card for his computer to get internet, then if his plan with his provider allows for sharing, then he might be able to. MIGHT!

He can use the Ipad without internet, however he would have to buy apps on the computer and transfer them to the Ipad. He cannot do anything else like surf the web, facetime, etc..

Best solution:

He needs a wifi connection. I would browse wireless routers. Its easy. You just plug the lan(internet cord) into that. He can then plug another cord from the router to his computer or if his computer allows for it, use it wirelessly.

He can carry it whenever. If there is a wifi access spot he can connect to it.

An iPad cannot be connected to a network via a physical connection. Period. It simply isn't designed for that. It's a Mobile device. As suggested, a MiFi device would work, although I couldn't say what is specifically available. The other alternative would be a 4 g model.

If you want him to just be all set. Buy him an Ipad(wifi only) and a wireless router(not that expensive) and send it to him. He should be all set from there. He can do anything at home. If he goes out, then he can figure it out. Its fairly easy. He just has to find a wifi spot if he wants internet access.

We are just users, so wouldn't be able to answer that. But not likely.

When I travel to places where I know there will only be a wired connection, I take a portable router (in my case, an Airport Express). I plug it into the LAN and then have the WiFi I need for my laptop.
